Bishnupur: Bharat Vikas Bishnupur Sangkha under Bharat Vikas Parishad Manipur Prant on Sunday distributed blankets to destitute families of ward number 1 to 11, Maheileikol Children Home and 50 select persons of Ngaikhong Siphai who are living in extreme poverty.

The distribution programme was attended by Bharat Vikas Parishad national vice president Dr Sinam Rajen Singh as chief guest, Parishad’s Manipur Prant president Dr Priyosakhi Devi as president and (Retd) Health Services additional director Dr W Gulabi Singh and Bharat Vikas Parishad Bishnupur Sangkha president Salam Jiban Singh as guests of honour.

Addressing as chief guest, Dr Sinam Rajen Singh revealed that process is underway for providing an economic avenue for puffed rice producers of Saiton and Tronglaobi in Bishnupur district.
