New Delhi: The Bharat Vikas Parishad was honored with the National Award by the Dr. Mangalam Swaminathan Foundation for its excellent contribution in service and ritual work across the country. Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Shripad Yesso Nayak and Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi presented this honor at a function held at NDMC Convention Centre. National Organization Minister Suresh Jain received this honor on behalf of the Bharat Vikas Parishad.
On this occasion, Bharat Vikas Parishad assured to return the additional amount of one lakh rupees to the foundation in addition to the amount given by Mangalam Swaminathan Foundation and to work with the foundation for self-reliant women in future.
It is noteworthy that the foundation honors individuals and institutions for their outstanding contribution in the field of journalism, science, art, literature and culture.
In his address on this occasion, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari called for taking inspiration from the ideals of Swami Vivekananda for social service and said that those who serve their country as family, they dedicate their life in the interest of the country. He is our true inspiration in this era.
