DIMAPUR: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) organised “women & girls empowerment programme” on February 7 at Dayanand Vidyaniketan conference hall, Dimapur.
A press release by secretary, BVP Dimapur, Dr Ramashankar stated that on the occasion, principal, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Neena Dutta and NBSE topper, Class 12 (science stream), Anushka Bhattacharjee were conferred with certificate of appreciation by BVP central, core committee, through Dimapur branch for their contribution in Nagaland.
At the programme, principal, Divine Grace School Shillong, Sumita Chakraborty graced the programme as chief guest.
Other guest speakers were assistant professor, SD Jain College, Dr Dalia Bhattacharjee and coordinator ABDSS, North East, Shantosh Kr Shastri.
Speakers from the organising committee were president BVP Dimapur, Pramod Singh, secretary Dr Ramashankar Siromoni, Madhusmita Dutta, Nivedita and Neetu Kachari, while women leader, BVP, Puja Das Paul chaired the programme
North East regional secretary and convenor of the programme extended gratitude to all women leaders, guests and girl participants for encouraging the gathering.
It was also informed that BVP would be organising “Bharat-Ko-Jano” state level quiz competition in Dimapur on April and requested submission of names of participants at BVP, Dimapur branch office.
