परिवार संस्कार योजना परिवार की अवधारणा परिवार समाज की एक इकाई है और समाज राष्ट्र का दर्पण। परिवार के संदर्भ में दो शब्दों का प्रयोग होता है एक परिवार दूसरा गृहस्थी। दोनों की ही पृथकश: कल्पना है। गृहस्थी - गृहस्थी का अर्थ पति-पत्नी तक सीमित होता है। परिवार - परिवार का अर्थ है पीढ़ियों का वह समूह जो एक ही वंश से प्रारम्भ हुआ है। एक परिवार एक गृहस्थी से प्रारम्भ होता है और इसी का विस्तृत स्वरूप परिवार कहलाता है। वर्तमान में समाजशास्त्रियों के अनुसार एक वंश में उत्पन्न विभिन्न भाईयों के परिवार यदि एक छत के नीचे तीज त्यौहारों के अवसर पर एकत्र होते हैं तब संयुक्त परिवार की संज्ञा दी जाती है। परिवार के अनेक लाभ हैं उससे मार्ग दर्शन मिलता है, मनोरंजन होता है, बच्चों के लालन पालन में सुविधा होती है एवं सामाजिक सुरक्षा भी मिलती है। किन्तु संयुक्त परिवरों में अकर्मण्यता को बढ़ावा भी मिलता है, कलह होती है एवं कुरीतियाँ फैलती हैं। संयुक्त परिवार टूट रहे हैं इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है। दूरस्थ स्थानों पर रोजगार, व्यक्तिगत स्वतंत्रता की चाह, प्रेम विवाह, पाश्चात्य जीवन शैली का प्रभाव इत्यादि इसके प्रमुख कारण है। संस्कार भारतीय संस्कृति कर्मप्रधान एवं पुनर्जन्म को मानने वाली है। भारतीय दर्शन का मानना है कि व्यक्ति के कर्म उसकी आत्मा के साथ बंध जाते हैं और पुनर्जन्म के समय उन्हीं कर्मों के अनुसार व्यक्ति का जन्म होता है। अत: प्रत्येक व्यक्ति कर्म रूपी संस्कार लेकर जन्म लेता है। इसे व्यक्ति का स्वभाव या प्रकृति भी कहते हैं। प्रकृति को संस्कारित करने का नाम ही संस्कृति है। जो प्रकृति हम जन्मजात लेकर पैदा होते हैं उनमें कुछ अच्छाईयाँ एवं बुराईयाँ होती है। इस युग के अनुरूप हमें उन प्रकृति तत्वों को संस्कारित करने की आवश्यकता होती है। अच्छाईयों को संवर्द्धित करना तथा बुराईयों का परिमार्जन करना ही संस्कार है। संस्कार भौतिक एवं आध्यात्मिक दोनों ही प्रकार के होते हैं। भौतिक संस्कार शीघ्रगामी व दृष्टिगम्य हैं लेकिन आध्यात्मिक या नैतिक संस्कार शनै: शनै: समाहित होते हैं। भारतीय संस्कृति में गर्भाधान से लेकर मृत्यु पर्यन्त सोलह संस्कारों का प्रमुखता से वर्णन किया गया है। हिन्दू दर्शन में शरीर को कर्म क्षेत्र मानते हुए शरीर के माध्यम से ही आत्मा को संस्कारित करने की बात कही गई है। इसलिए सबसे पहले स्वस्थ शरीर की अवधारणा पर जोर दिया गया है। कहा गया है कि स्वस्थ शरीर में ही स्वस्थ मन का वास होता है। परिवारिक संस्कृति में बदलाव हम पर पाश्चात्य संस्कृति या फिर डार्विन के सिद्धान्त का प्रभाव पड़ता जा रहा हैं। हम स्वयं को शक्तिशाली बनाने एवं दिखने में ही जीवन की सच्चाई को मान बैठे हैं। जहाँ हमने तिनका-तिनका जोड़कर परिवार मनाया था वहीं अब उसे बिखरने पर उतारू हो गऐ हैं। शक्तियशाली बनने की होड़ लगी है और बनने से भी अधिक दिखने की होड़ है। भोगवादी संस्कृति पनप रही है। अर्थ संचय का आधार नैतिकता न होकर अनैतिक आचरण हो गया है। जीवन के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में आधुनिक संस्कृति का प्रभाव देखने का मिलता है। कला जहाँ व्यक्तित्व विकास का साधन थी अब वह शारीरिक प्रदर्शन मात्र रह गयी है। वेशभूषा शालीनता की निशानी थी। अब वही विद्रूपता की निशानी बनती जा रही है। अत: आज भारतीय संस्कृति के संरक्षण की महती आवश्यकता आ पड़ी है। संरक्षण का केन्द्र परिवार ही हो सकता है। अत: हमें परिवारों से ही प्रारम्भ करना होगा। यदि परिवरों के विघटन का क्रम नहीं थमा तो व्यक्ति अकेला होकर पशुवत जीवन व्यतित करेगा। परिवार संस्कार शिविरों की उपादेयता भारत विकास परिषद् भारतीय संस्कृति के संरक्षण के लिए संकल्पबद्ध है। अत: संस्कृति के विभिन्न आयामों पर चिन्तन करते हुए परिवार प्रथा को जीवंत बनाए रखने के लिए कार्यरत है। आज परिवार संस्था पर संकट के बादल मंडरा रहे हैं। इसके समाधान के लिए परिवार संस्कार शिविर एक माध्यम बन सकता है। शिविर में सभी आयु वर्ग के दम्पतियों की उपस्थिति फलदायी होगी। संस्कृति का प्रवाह ऊपर से लेकर नीचे की ओर होता है। कभी भी प्रवाह नीचे से ऊपर की ओर नहीं जाता। अत: परिवारों में स्वस्थ परम्पराओं के विकास के लिए प्रौढ़ व्यक्तियों को ही आगे आना होगा। उनका आचरण ही परिवार के लिए उपयोगी सिद्ध होगा। अत: प्रत्येक आयु वर्ग के लिए ये शिविर उपयोगी सिद्ध होंगे। आज परिवारों में अनेक समस्याएं उत्पन्न हो गई है। जैसे-जैसे हम दुनिया के सम्पर्क में आ रहे हैं वहाँ का प्रभाव हमारे जीवन पर पड़ रहा है। हम इस प्रभाव को कम नहीं कर सकते अत: सारे दृष्टिकोण को देखते हुए ही हमें अपना मार्ग तय करना होगा। हमें शिविरों के माध्यम से सामाजिक समस्याओं का अध्ययन एवं समाधान करना होगा। वर्तमान पारिवारिक समस्याएं एवं समाधान परिवारों की समस्याऐं किशोरों, युवाओं, प्रौढ़ों एवं महिलाओं से भी सम्बन्धित है। किशोर वर्ग के समक्ष आधुनिक शिक्षा एवं पाश्चात्य प्रभाव की समस्या है। युवा गलाकाट प्रतियोगिता से त्रस्त है। प्रौढ़ों एवं वृद्धों को यथोचित सम्मान प्राप्त नहीं है। कालिजों का खुला वातावरण युवाओं को कभी-कभी अपराध एवं पतन की ओर धकेल देता है। कामकाजी महिलाओं पर दुहरा बोझ पड़ता है। फिजूल खर्चें, भोगवादी संस्कृति एवं नई विलासिता पूर्ण सामग्री भी समस्याऐं उत्पन्न करती हैं। इन सबके विश्लेषण एवं समाधान पर गहन विचार विमर्श इन शिविरों में होना चाहिए। परिवार संस्कार शिविरों का स्वरूप परिवार संस्कार शिविर परिवार के सदस्यों के साथ लगाने चाहिऐं। यदि इसमें सभी आयु वर्ग का प्रतिनिधित्व हो तो श्रेष्ठ होगा। आज संवादहीनता भी कलह का कारण बनी हुई है। हम अपनी समस्याऐं तो देख रहे हैं लेकिन अन्य आयु वर्ग की मन:स्थिति पर हमारा ध्यान नहीं है। संस्कार शिविरों में परिवार की सारी ही परिस्थितियों पर चर्चा होनी चाहिए। आज मातृत्व पर चिन्तन होने लगा है लेकिन पितृत्व पर चिन्तन नहीं होता। माता-पिता दोनों की ही मानसिकता एवं कर्तव्यों पर विचार होना चाहिए। शिविर एक दिवसीय, दो दिवसीय या तीन दिवसीय हो सकते हैं। प्रारम्भ में एक दिवसीय रखने से विषय की गम्भीरता एवं आवश्यकता समझ में आती है फिर स्वत: ही इनका काल बढ़ता चला जाएगा। सर्व प्रथम शिविर का उद्देश्य परिवारों की भागीदारी होना चाहिए। एक बार विषय समझ में आने पर स्वत: ही प्रचलन में आ जाएंगे। शिविर में सभी आयु वर्ग के लिए विषय एवं व्यापक चर्चा की व्यवस्था होनी चाहिए। शिविर की दिनचर्या परिवार की दिनचर्या के समान होनी चाहिए। इससे प्रामाणिकता बनी रहती है। सर्व प्रथम बड़ों के कर्तव्यों पर चिन्तन होना चाहिए। संस्कार की बात करते समय देने वाले की स्थिति व ज्ञान स्पष्ट होना चाहिए न कि लेने वाले का। आज बालकों में संस्कार नहीं है ऐसा भ्रमक वातावरण बनाया जा रहा है जबकि उन्हें संस्कारित करने की जिम्मेदारी हमारी है। यदि कोई भी परिवार टूटता है और बच्चा असंस्कारित होकर समाज और देश को तोड़ने जैसा कुत्सित कर्म करता है तो यह जिम्मेदारी परिवार के मुखिया की है। बालक अपने जन्म के साथ अपनी प्रकृति लेकर आता है अत: उसका अध्ययन कर उसमें समाज के लिए उपयोगी संस्कारों का संवर्द्धन करना मुखिया का कार्य है। स्वतंत्रता के बाद का कालखण्ड व्यक्तिवादी सोच का रहा है अत: हम भारतीय संस्कृति को विस्मरण कर बैठे और परिवार ही नहीं टूटे अपितु समाज की स्थिति भी दयनीय हो गई। इसी कारण हम अपने सामाजिक एवं राष्ट्रीय उत्तरदायित्वों से दूर होते चले गए। आज जब परिवारों का संकट सभी आयु वर्ग के व्यक्तियों के समक्ष  उपस्थित हो चला है तब इस पर बहस की पहल भारत विकास परिषद् ने की हैं अत: इस विषय पर व्यापक चिंतन की आवश्यकता है।

राष्ट्रीय महिला कार्यकर्ता कार्यशाला: 2011-12 महिला कार्यकर्ता कार्यशाला 7 अगस्त 2011 को भिवानी वालों की धर्मशाला पीतमपुरा में आयोजित की गई। लगभग 220 महिला कार्यकर्ता उपस्थित रहीं। मंच संचालन श्रीमती अर्चना सिंहल व डा॰ चम्पा श्रीवास्तव ने किया। डा॰ प्रकाशवती शर्मा ने कार्यशाला का उद्देश्य स्पष्ट किया। उन्होंने कहा नारी में अभूतपूर्व शक्ति है, उसका आह्वान करना है। मुख्य अतिथि श्रीमती मृदुला सिन्हा ने कार्यकर्ताओं को उद्बोधित करते हुये कहा कि नारी को कन्याभू्रण हत्या रोकना, कन्या जन्मोत्सव मनाना आदि अनेकों ऐसे ही कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से स्त्री के प्रति समाज की मानसिकता को बदलने का काम करना चाहिये। मन, बुद्धि व शरीर से वह माँ के रूप में बेटी को सशक्त बनायें। श्री आर॰ पी॰ शर्मा, राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष ने अध्यक्षीय उद्बोधन में विभोर होकर बताया कि महिला कार्यकर्ताओं ने देश के विभिन्न प्रदेशों से आकर आश्चर्य चकित करने वाली उपस्थिति दर्ज करवायी है। प्रथम सत्र की अध्यक्षता श्री आई॰ डी॰ ओझा, राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष ने की। डा॰ अजीत गुप्ता ने परिषद् का परिचय देते हुये कहा कि भारत परिवारवादी राष्ट्र है इसीलिये भाविप में दम्पत्ति सदस्यता रहती है। श्रीमती मंगला माधव सवदीकर ने संस्कार प्रकल्प, राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री श्री एस॰ के॰ वधवा ने सेवा प्रकल्प के विषय में बताया। श्रीमती ऊषा अस्थाना ने महिला सहभागिता पर प्रकाश डाला। द्वितीय सत्र की अध्यक्षता राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष  श्री आर॰ पी॰ शर्मा ने की। श्री हरीश जिन्दल ने संगठनात्मक ढांचा, डा॰ के॰ एल॰ गुप्ता, राष्ट्रीय वित्त मंत्री ने सम्पर्क व श्री एस॰ एस॰ अस्थाना ने संविधान पर प्रकाश डाला। समापन सत्र में प्रान्तों से आयी बहनों ने अपने प्रश्न व जिज्ञासाएँ प्रस्तुत कीं जिनका समाधान श्री आर॰ पी॰ शर्मा ने किया। (Niti; Oct.,2011)

महिला कार्यकर्ता संस्कार शिविर,  22-23 जनवरी 2011 त्रयम्बकेश्वर, नासिक (महाराष्ट्र कोस्टल-II) : सक्रिय महिला कार्यकर्ता परिवार संस्कार शिविर 22,23 जनवरी 2011 को आयोजित किया गया। उद्घाटन सत्र की अध्यक्षता श्री प्रकाश पाठक ने की। शिविर के उद्देश्यों तथा 2 दिन चलने वाली कार्यवाही के विषय में राष्ट्रीय मंत्री श्रीमती ऊषा अस्थाना ने सभी प्रतिनिधियों को अवगत कराया। राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष आर॰पी॰ शर्मा ने सभी प्रतिनिधियों से आग्रह किया कि वे शिविर की दो दिन की कार्यवाही में पूरी संलग्नता के साथ अपनी सहभागिता सुनिश्चित् करें और शिविर में जो भी मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त हो उसके आधार पर अपने-अपने क्षेत्र में जाकर परिषद् के कार्य को गति प्रदान करने का प्रयास करें। द्वितीय सत्र में श्री प्रकाश पाठक ने सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता पर विस्तार से अपने विचार व्यक्त किये। तृतीय सत्र में महिला कार्यकर्ताओं के समक्ष चुनौतियाँ और समाधान विषय पर परिवार संस्कार शिविर की चेयरपर्सन श्रीमती डा॰ अजीत गुप्ता ने प्रतिनिधियों का मार्गदर्शन किया। 23 जनवरी को संस्कार संस्कृति तथा संस्कार प्रकल्प, तथा सेवा प्रकल्प के विषय में क्रमशः एस॰एस॰ अस्थाना, राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष तथा सुरेन्द्र कुमार वधवा, राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री ने अपने विचार व्यक्त किये। सत्र के समापन पर राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष श्री ईश्वर दत्त ओझा ने ओजस्वी पूर्ण ढंग से पूर्व संस्कार और संस्कृति की महिलाओं से चर्चा की। अंत में आयोजक शाखा नासिक के उन तमाम कार्यकताओं का जिन्होंने रात दिन लगकर शिविर की उत्तम व्यवस्था को अंजाम दिया, उन सभी को राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष आर॰पी॰ शर्मा, राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष ईश्वर दत्त ओझा, राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री सुरेन्द्र कुमार वधवा द्वारा मोमेन्टों प्रदान कर सम्मानित किया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त प्रबोधी ट्रस्ट की प्रमुख श्रीमती रजनी लिमये जिन्होंने मानसिक रूप से विकलांग बच्चों के शिक्षण एवं पुनर्वास का कार्य किया है परिषद् द्वारा सम्मानित किया गया।

राष्ट्रीय परिवार संस्कार शिविर 5-7 फरवरी 2010 राष्ट्रीय परिवार संस्कार शिविर 5-7 फरवरी 2010 को जम्मू नगर में आयोजित हुआ। शिविर का मुख्य उद्देश्य था `सुसंस्कृत व सुदृढ़ राष्ट्र का निर्माण।´ शिविर का उद्घाटन श्री रमण भल्ला, मन्त्री जम्मू व कश्मीर द्वारा किया गया। सभा की अध्यक्षता ईश्वर दत्त ओझा, राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष ने की।  सभा के विशेष अतिथि थे ज़फर इकबाल मन्हास, Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages। सत्र का संचालन डा. सन्तोष गुप्ता, क्षेत्रीय संयोजिका व शिविर की आयोजिका ने किया।  जम्मू नगर में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय परिवार संस्कार शिविर में परिचर्चा के विषय थे : `टूटते परिवार, कारण व निवारण´ `परिषद् का लक्ष्य 2013´ व सक्रिय महिलाओं की भूमिका, Problems of Youth and their solutions. इस शिविर में कुछ विद्वान चिन्तकों द्वारा अनेक समस्याओं पर सारगर्भित उद्बोधन भी दिये गये। इस अवसर पर भारत को जानो पुस्तक में से 100 प्रश्नों का एक प्रश्न पत्र भी प्रतिनिधियों को हल करने के लिये दिया गया। प्रथम, द्वितीय व तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त करने वालों को पुरस्कार भी दिया गया। कलाकारों द्वारा एक अत्यन्त मनोहरी सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम भी प्रस्तुत किया गया। (Click on the picture to view the larger image)

sixth National Parivar Sanskar Shivir

Vivekanandapuram, the Headquarters of spiritually oriented Service Mission, Vivekananda Kendra, at Kanyakumari, the southern most tip of Bharat, the natural spiritual retreat, is a 100 acre Campus owned and maintained by Vivekananda Rock Memorial Committee built by the Herculean efforts of Manyavar Shri Eknath Ranade during 1960/1970s with a great mission of man making and nation building. The Campus with lot of natural vegetation, Ganesh Mandir, Training Centre for the young aspirants of yoga, social service, pictorial exhibition on Swamy Vivekananda and Shri Eknath Ranade, Bharat Gramodaya Darshan Park, Library and Reading room, beautiful beach garden and sun rise point with rooms, dormitories, vegetarian Canteen AC and Open Air Auditoriums and other facilities such as frequent bus service to and from Kanyakumari township. Bharat Vikas Parishad Tamilnadu & Pondicherry availed of all the facilities at Vivekanandapuram, hosted the shivir of 2008-09 and registered families, delegates and guests of Parishad Branches throughout India for the shivir.  Parishad conducts this All India programme every year mainly for women for discussions on our Cultural values, family traditions, youth, Social responsibilities, problems of women, in various sessions with concluding remarks and resolutions.  THIS SHIVIR WAS DEDICATED TO THE LOFTY AND HOLY IDEALS OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA WHO GOT THE VISION FOR HIS LIFE MISSION AT KANYAKUMARI WITH THE BENIGN BLESSINGS OF DEVI KANYAKUMARI. AND MOTHER BHARAT. THE THEME OF THIS SHIVIR IS "UNNAT PARIVAR UTKRISHT BHARAT".  This is the 6th shivir of Parishad and we got the highest number of families, delegates from all over Bharat for the programme. The registration started at 9 A.M. on the 24th . A total of 458 delegates from States of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, U.P. Bihar, Orissa, Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala registered and participated in the shivir. The State of Jammu & Kashmir registered the maximum number of 69 delegates. The delegates and guests were offered a traditional welcome to the AC Auditorium EKNATH where all the proceedings were conducted . The inauguration ceremony started at 10.31 A.M. with Shri N.B. Subramaniam, Prantheeya General Secretary, calling the meeting to order, wishing Suprabhatham and welcoming the delegates for the shivir.   The Master of ceremonies was ably done by Prof.P.M.Gopalakrishna, Zone XVII Sanskar Pramukh. Shri Balakrishnaji, Sukumari Niveditaji, Vice Presidents of Vivekananda Kendra,. Dr.Prakashwatiji, National Vice President, Shri Varinder Sabharwal, National Secretary General,Shri Daulat Rao, National Additional Secretary General, Shri G.Bhaskaran, Zone XVII Patron and Chairman, Reception Committee, Shri V.Harihran, Zone XVII Chairman, Shri R.Ramaswamy, President, and Shri. N.B.Subramaniam, General Secretary, Host Pranth were called to the dias.          The Chief Guest Shri Balakrishnanaji did Deep Prajwalan with Dr.Dharamvir Sethi reciting the sloka on the occasion.  Vande Mataram was rendered by Shri N.B.Subramaniam. The Guests on the dias were introduced by him and were honoured by members of host Pranth.  Shri G.Bhaskaran, welcomed the dignitaries on the dias and delegates and families.   Smt.Usha Asthana, National Secretary, Parivar Sanskar, spoke on the object and purpose of the shivir. She said the Tamilnadu & Pondicherry Pranth hosted the shivir at Kanyakumari and made all arrangements from the State Head Quarters Chennai with precise planning and achieved the credit of registering the maximum number of families delegates of nearly 500. This hard work has to be appreciated.    Shri N.B.Subramaniam sang the poem ‘KANYAKUMARI JAGAJANANI’ composed by him for shivir and dedicated to Devi Kanyakumari, Swamy Vivekananda, the pioneering leaders Dr.Suraj Prakashji and Shri Pyare Lal Rahiji. Shri Daulat Rao spoke on the ideals and social service activities of Bharat Vikas Parishad.  Shri Balakrishnanji the Chief Guest in his key note address, lauded the activities of Parishad and felt happy about choosing Vivekanandapuram as the venue for the Parivar Sanskar shivir. All the families must make it a point to dedicate one child from each parivar for the society, the vikas of the nation starts right from the individual, then the family, the society and then only the nation can be made great and self sufficient.  Sukumari Niveditaji dwelt at length on the upkeep of children of families of our present times. She said, prime duty of the mothers is to inculcate in their children the right kind of vision regarding discipline, ways of life from the very early stage of toddling, mother should never show sympathy on matters of fundamental qualities, such as getting up early in the morning, doing chores on their own, chanting God’s name, so that the child catches and tones up for later life with self discipline and sanskars.  Souvenir 2009 was released by Shri Sabharwalji and copies were handed to those on the dais. Shri S.C. Agarwal, Zone XVII Seva Pramukh and Editor, Souvenir 2009 in his speech highlighted Tamilnadu’s heritage and hospitality and gave full background of Souvenir 2009 brought out by Tamilnadu & Pondicherry State on the occasion of the shivir.                                                    The feature of this year’s shivir is the participation by The Hindu Senior Secondary School, Indira Nagar, Chennai (Winners of All India Sanskrit National Group Singing Competition 2008) in the shivir. The students performed the Folk song during the inaugural session followed by Hindi, Sanskrit and Tamil at the allotted slots on the first and second day and enthralled the audience by their super group performance.  The morning session concluded with the vote of thanks by Shri R. Ramaswamy, President proposing vote of thanks.  On the 24th afternoon, Dr.Prakashwatiji spoke on Concept of Pariwar in the present scenario. The session was chaired by Smt.Mangala Madhav Savadikar, Zonal Organising Secretary, Zone XIV. This was followed by Bharat Gyan Multi-media presentation by Shri D.K. Hari member, Host Pranth on ‘Historical Rama’ giving scientific evidences on Calendars, Time and quotes from leading Historians.  The delegates went for seeing sun set and had darshan of Kanyakumari Bhagavathi Devi on the sea shore, the temple being built as per Agama Shashtras.  On the 25th Sunday morning the delegates saw sun rise at 6.20 A,M,. There was a yoga session for delegates by Yoga Acharya Deepak in the Training Hall. At 8 A.M. the delegates left for the Vivekananda Rock about a km inside sea and enjoyed being in the spiritual presence of the Master Swamy Vivekananda, who swam across the waters of the ocean on the 24th December, 1892 and meditated for 3 full days and got the blessings of Devi Kanyakumari for fulfilling his mission in life.     The next programme at 2 P.M. was a lecture on ‘HOW NOT TO SEE A DOCTOR’ by Dr.G.S. Kailash, Medical Practitioner in Chennai. He gave lots of tips on how to live a life without diseases with classic examples of his own experiences of more than 3 decades in the field. This session was chaired by Shri V. Hariharan, Zone XVII Chairman.     The delegates were divided in to 4 groups with individual group leaders, the first group was chaired by Smt. Chandra Gupta of Jammu, Topic being BALANCING BETWEEN FAMILY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, the second group under Dr. Vijayaprabha Agarwal of Delhi discussed the topic GLOBALIZATION AND INDIAN CULTURE, the third topic REASONS FOR CHILDREN BECOMING CRIMINAL AND THEIR REMEDIES was chaired by Smt. Suman Srivasthav of UP, the last group under Shri Rajiv Sainkrey of Goa discussed the topic PROBLEMS OF YOUTH AND THEIR SOLUTIONS.  The next session at 3.30 P.M. was chaired by Smt. Savitri Varshney, Zonal Chairman, Zone V. Shri Varinder Sabharwalji  spoke on the active participation of women members in BVP Projects. Smt. Avinash Sharma National Convener, Parivar Sanskar, spoke on WOMEN IN PRESENT SOCIETY and Shri S.S. Asthana, National Additional Secretary General on PROBLEM OF WOMEN AND LAW. The evening session was GROUP DISCUSSION managed by Dr. Santosh Gupta, Zonal Convener, Sampark, Zone I. There was a Cultural programme – Bharathanatyam Dance    performance by Shri Sanjay (TV fame) and his  family and group arranged by Kalavardhini of Shri Alathur Vijayakumar, Chennai from 7 P.M. to 8.30 P.M. in the KALIDAS OPEN AIR AUDITORIUM. The subjects chosen by the Artist were unique. The main item was ‘Bhavayami Raghuramam’ in Sanskrit written by the renowned Swathi Thirunal King of yester years of Travancore. This portrays entire Ramayana in several stanzas tuned in Classic Ragas of Carnatic music and were performed by Sanjay and group with clock precision and rhythm and became the most favourite slot giving lavish feast to the ears, eyes and minds of the audience The whole programme was spiritually elevating and relaxing and was attended by all the delegates with rapt attention.  26th – the delegates attended the Republic day flag hoisting ceremony at the Kendra School at 8.30 A.M.  The Samarop function started at 9 A.M. with reports by Group leaders on the four topics discussed on the previous day followed by Mukth Chinthan, questions from delegates regarding day to day working of BVP were read and answers were given by Shri Sabharwalji and Dr.Prakashwatiji. There was a separate session for giving suggestions on the Parivar Sanskar shivir to be held in future, Smt.Usha Asthana spoke, Shri N.B.Subramaniam of Host Pranth gave his views and suggestions and delegates expressed their views of the present Shivir held at Kanyakumari. The valedictory function was the most memorable programme of the shivir with the address by Shri P.Parameswaranji, The President of the Vivekanada Kendra. He brought to light the fall of Communism in Soviet Russia, Capitalism in United States of America, the present economic plight of America, the contradictions in the Western Nations and Bharat. The solution for these problems is observance of Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha given to us as great Treasure by our ancient philosophers, rishis and munis. We in Bharat must lead our lives according to the principles laid down so clearly by our Acharyas. Every one is entitled to comforts in life, but materialism is not the end by itself, we must look inward, attain spiritual wealth along with material wealth and then only we can try and achieve our ultimate goal in life of getting Moksha. Women in our families have the sole responsibility of bringing up the family as per our ancient philosophy and traditions. He further said that hard work with selfless spirit will get the blessings of divinity and the mission becomes a success. Hope this shivir gives you all such benefits of prosperity well balanced with spirituality and make you reach your goal soon and make our nation great. Dr. Prakashwatiji in her concluding remarks said that the characteristic of a social worker is not to wait for the tides to settle down. The sea will always be full of tides at all times, one who wants to swim in the sea has to understand this and swim and get over the tides and be successful. Smt.Mangala Saudikar falicitated the Host Pranth for the most successful conduct of the shivir and complimented the team work done by the few members of the Pranth at a place where no shakha of BVP existed. She said, the theme UNNAT PARIVAR UTHKRISHTA BHARAT was most befitting for the shivir and this message will be spread to members and families at all Branch levels. Shri. N.B.Subramaniam, Host Pranth General Secretary in his vote of thanks shared with delegates about the face to face meeting had prior to the shivir and the blessings of Mata Amritanandamayi that the mission will be successful. Shri Hariharakumarji of Kerala had earlier read out a message from Mataji in the morning session. Fifth National Parivar Sanskar Shivir Fifth National Parivar Sanskar Shivir was held on 12-14 January, 2008 at  Vrindavan (U.P.). It  was attended by 589 delegates from all over the country.

The Shivir was inaugurated on 12th January, 2008 by Mahamandlesahwar Sant Gyananand who as the Chief Guest. Shri Naresh Prakash Jain, ex-President of Akhil Bhartiay Vidvat Parishad delivered the inaugural speech. The inaugural session was presided over by Shri Ram Sharan Srivastava, National Vice President.  In the second session, presided over Dr. Prakashwari Sharma, there was interesting discussion on issues relating role of family in inculcating values among children, joint family system in changed circumstances and causes for marriage discords. The delegates also visited Barsana, Govardhan and Gokul.

On 13th January, 2008, the members belonging to Parishad's Branches in Braj Pradesh presented fascinating cultural programme. The Mahila  Session on the 14th January was presided over by Dr Ajit Gupta, Chairperson, Parivar Sanskar Project. Shri Swadesh Arora,  presided over the concluding session and summed up the deliberations.

 

The fourth National Parivar Sanskar Shivir was held on 10-11 February, 2007 at Udaipur (Rajasthan) which was attended by 120 delegates.
