Dr. Kitchlu, Ludhiana (Punjab North): Branch in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab organized Free Artificial Limbs Distribution Camp on Sunday,26th October at Viklang Sahayata Kender, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana, Artificial Limbs, Calipers, Crutches and Hearing aids were given to 50 physically challenged persons. Anil Gupta, Managing Director, Auto Tech Pvt. Ltd. was the Chief guest. Mrs. Manorama Sharma, President, Nirbal Ke Balram Satsang Sabha was the Guest of honour and Prof. Jitendra Prakash (President, Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust) president over the function. Shri Narinder Mittal, Secretary said that Trust has organized 1001 camps in which artificial limbs, Calipers, Crutches, Tricycle & Hearing aids were provided to more than 41,800 physically handicapped persons. The Trust also organizied Polio Surgery Camps, in which 2075 polio operations have been done successful. Trust has also organized Nasha Mukti Camps & Medical Camps. He further informed that Trust will establish a modern workshop to manufacture artificial limbs and hosiery training centre will be started with the help of NSIC very soon.

 Suratgarh Thermal (Rajasthan North): Blood Donation Camp was organized by the branch along with ST DAV public school on 7th November on the occasion of Lala Hansraj birth anniversary. In this camp 59 units were collected by Tapovan Blood bank Sri Ganganagar. This is the third camp of this year.

Karimganj (Assam): Branch organized a general health checkup cum awareness camp on 16th November at Surigram. Dr. M.S.Das Gupta and Dr. T.K.Banik attended the camp and examined 59 patients. Free medicines were distributed as per the prescription of the doctors. The camp was organized in memory of Late Chitta Ranjan Paul and Late Pushpa Rani Paul.

Rajpura (Punjab East):  A dental check up camp was organized at Govt. Elementary School, Mohinder Ganj Rajpura on 30-09-2014. Dr. Navdeep Walia checked 240 students of the school & told them how to brush their teeth. Tooth brushes & tooth pastes were distributed among all the students with the help of our Chief Guest Sh. Pardeep Chehal.

Chandigarh South –I(Punjab East): Branch organized an Eye Check-up Camp at Govt. High School, Sector-47A, Chandigarh for 5 days from 28th July 2014 “Under Child Eye Care Project” of Ramakrishna Mission Asharam, Chandigarh sponsored by BLIND FOUNDATION FOR INDIA, USA. A team of Eye Deptt. of Bharat Vikas Parishad Path Lab., Indira Holiday Home, Sector-24, Chandigarh under supervision of Dr.Navedita, examined the eyes of 449 students of the School.

Out of 49 students, the team identified 49 students whose eye vision was found poor. 18 students were given free specks and the rest were advised to visit Eye Deptt. at Sector -24, Chandigarh for further treatment at free of Cost. Vision of one student, Miss Chandni D/o Sh. Shyam Lal Class IV employee was found extremely poor. A CT scan test of her head was done wherein Rasoli has been detected in rear right eye. Her parents have been advised to visit our Eye Deptt. at Sector-24, Chandigarh for her further treatment.

Dehradun Greater (Uttrakhand West): Branch organized a "Nishulk Viklang Shivir" at Primary School, Harrawala on 7th September, 600 equipments were distributed free of cost to the needy citizens in this shivir.

Dehradun: A function was organised by training and Rehabilitation center for mentally retarded /Challenged children (Viklang) on 18th October at Community Hall Engineers Enclave, GMS Road, Dehradun, Uttrakhand. Mr.Faroog chief guest felicitated Mr. Anil Verma Secretary of the branch for outstanding services rendered for the upliftment of handicapped and mentally retarded / challenged children.

Karimganj (Assam): Branch organized donated a Wheel Chair to Smt. Lila Rani Paul of Kayasthagram on 24th August. BranchSecretary Dr.Durbadal Das and other members of the Parishad handed over the Wheel Chair to the beneficiary at her residence at Kayasthagram. Branch also donated a Tricycle to Latif Ali on17th August. Branch President Shri Nikhil Ranjan Das and Chairman of Karimganj Muncipal Board Dr. ManashDas handed over the Tricycle to the beneficiary in presence of other members of the Parishad. The Tricycles were provided to the Parishad by member Shri Amaresh Kanti Roy. Branch organized a General Health check-up cum Awarness camp on 19th October at Surigram. A total of 57 patients were examined by member Dr. M.S.Dasgupta and Dr. T.K.Banik. Free medicines worth of Rs. 5,083.00 were distributed amongst the patients as per prescription.

Patharkandi :  As a part of inaugural program, a Tricycle was handed over to Shri Nikunja Das, a physically challenged person of the locality. The Tricycle was provided to Patharkandi branch by Karimganj branch which was donated by member Shri Amaresh Kanti Roy.

Nabha (Punjab):  On 21st Sept., Heart checkup camp was held at Dayanand Public School, Silver City, Thuhi. Full team of DMC Ludhiana Hero Heart Institute conducted tests, diagnosis etc. under the guidance of Dr.Naved Aslam. Free Medicines were also distributed, courtesy Pharma companies who accompanied Dr. Aslam. Distt. President Patiala Shri Nasir Ali and Distt. Secretary Patiala Shri Varinder ji were also Present. More than 125 patients were registered and got their checkup done. Breakfast and lunch were also served.

Valmiki Ram Nagara (Karnataka):  A seminar on “Health Awarness & Education about Diabetes” was organized in co-ordinations with Kaveri Charitable Trust ® Mandya at “Kanika Mahal”  M.G.Road RamNagra on 21st September. Dr. C.R.Chandrashekhar Psycologist & Vineral Specialist NIMHANS Bangalore President. Hon. Judge Krishna Murthy was chief guest and Awarness talk by Dr. Sowmy Bhatt, Dr. Arti, Dr.Mallikarjuna and Dr.Chandra Gowda.

G.K.-I (Delhi South): World Heart Day was celebrated in Shiv Mandir, Pamposh enclave, on 28th September to provide the diagnostic facilities to the residents at their door step to save them the problem of going and spending the money which people are prone to postpone to a later suitable time. A team of Doctors from the National Heart Institute with ECG, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Total Cholesterol and BMI (Body Mass Index) arrived and did the job. Their was also arrangement for eye checkup and Orthopedics.

Mahabubnagar (Telangana) :  On 13th September branch organized its prestigious free annual BMD Test in which 112 people including Bharat Vikas Parishad Members (26) were examined & given free BMD Reports. The Camp was held in Association with Dr. Anil Kumar (MBSS, DNB, Orth) Orthopedic Surgeon. The Programme was graced by the Chief Guest Sri. V.Manohar Reddy, Sr. Advocate in the Dist. And Sri K.SaiBaba, Chief Manager of State Bank of Hyderabad. Chief Guest extended warm greetings and appreciated the objectives and achievements of BVP.

BSSR Central, Odisha :  A Health Camp was conducted at Indira housing Board Colony, Lingipur, BBSR  on 24th August in collaboration with Prajapita Brahmakumari Ashram. Eminent doctors of medicine, Pediatric, Cardiology, ENT, Dental and Orthopedic experts attended the health camp. 124 patients were examined and given free medicines.

Suraj Panchkula, Haryana North : Branch organized a Dental Check up camp for the 6th to 8th class students of Govt. Senior Secondary School, Ram-Garh, Panchkula on 21.8.2014. Dr. Deepika Sharma, of Bharat Vikas Parishad, dispensary, 12-A, Panchkula and Dr. Vishal of Panchkula checked up the children with full dedication and concern. About 185 students were checked with full satisfaction and advised them how to take care of teeth. On 19-08-2014 fruits were distributed amongst 40 handicapped children of National Handicapped Children home, Sector-12A, Panchkula. The children felt good and feel obliged on this interaction programme. Also on the same day fruits were distributed amongst the needy old men and women residing in Old Age Home in Sector-15 Panchkula.

Borivali, Maharashtra-I Costal: Branch organized Medical First Aid Camp near Gorai Khari on the Occasion of Ganapati visarzan on 8th Sept. to provide emergency service in case any mishap happened during Ganapati visarzan where Lakhs of people had gathered. More than 30 members of branch participated in activity.

Paonta Sahib, H.P.East : A free Multi–Specialty Medical Camp was organized at remote rural place SATAUN, 22kms.from Paonta Sahib. 476 Patients were benefited with free consultation, Blood Sugar Testing, ECG and Medicines. This is regular Project of BVP Paonta Sahib done every year during Sept./Oct. Cataract patients were advised to get operated at Paonta free of cost.

Dehradun, Uttrakhand West : Branch organized a Nishulk Viklang Shivir, at Primary School, Harrawala, Dehradun, from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, on 7th September, 2014. 600 Equipments were distributed free of cost to the needy citizens in this Shivir.

Janakpuri Main, Delhi South : On 11th August 2014 a free physio camp was organized. 34 patients benefited from the camp. On 12th August 2014 a eye camp was organized. 38 patients benefited from the camp. On 13th August 2014 Environment Day was celebrated by planting 48 trees and distribution of 258 Tulsi Plants to the members of the branch and eminent social workers. On 14th August a free Dental camp was organized. 34 patients benefited from the camp.

Amritsar Central, Punjab North : On 12th September free Dental Check Up in DAV Red Cross School for special children at New Tehsilpura, G.T.Road, Amritsar for the students of the said school. The camp was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr.Jagjit Singh, ADCP( Crime) Amritsar, where the special children were given free tooth brush, tooth paste and a packet of biscuits.

Malerkotla, Punjab East : organized a Voluntarily Blood Donation Camp for the Blood Bank of Civil Hospital Malerkotla, 95 Units of Blood donated by the voluntary donors. Dr. Gurvinder Singh M.D. was the Chief Guest, while Shri Sham Lal Prop. Popular Medical Store Malerkotla presided over the function. Dr.Jyoti Kapoor incharge Blood Bank Civil Hospital Malerkotla supervised the camp.

Farrukhabad, Brahmavart : Branch organised a Cancer Checkup Camp & Cancer Awareness Program on 3 Aug. 2014 with Dr.Rajeev Agarwal, Dr. Neeta Agarwal, Dr. Rajni of Cancer Hospital Gwalior.  Doctor checked 96 patients in the camp.

Gharaunda, Haryana North : Branch organised Blood Donation Camp on 20th July 2014, in it 87 donors gave blood. Chief Guest was Mr.Narender Sangwan M.L.A. Gharaunda: Haryana North Blood Donation head Mr. Deepak Anand. Branch president Rajinder Goel, Secretary Dheeraj Bhatia and Arun Aggarwal, Purshottam Sethi Ajaya Gupta, Gulshan, Vikas Singla, Vikrant Rana, Mohan Rana, Kapil Gupta also were Present.

Chandigarh North II, Punjab East : Branch arranged a camp in Millennium School at Pinjore (Haryana) where over 70 persons donated blood, dental check up of 50 persons was done and eye check up of over 300 persons was done. The Principal of the school Mr. Piyush Punj and coordinator Shri Raj Arora were the main people who arranged the gathering and were instrumental in the success of the Programme. The doctors team was lead by Dr. Manish Raj.

Visakhapatnam, A.P. : Branch organized Viklang Sahayata Yojna Camp (free distribution of artificial limbs), Smt. K.Satyavati, was inspired by the programme done by branch and donated 10,000/- to branch president Smt. Arunajyoti branch treasurer Smt. Sailaja, Ex-President Sri M.V.Rajasekhar and state Addl. Secy. Shri MVV Satyanarayana also participated. State president Dr. MRV Sarma congratulated both donor and branch members.

Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand : Branch organized Viklang Sahayata Shivir (IInd phase) on 17/05/2014 at Station Club alongwith Vivekanand Branch Bokaro Thermal. The 1st phase of Shivir was held on 27/04/2014 in which persons were selected for artificial limbs. Altogether 40 persons were benefited. 6 no. of tricycles, 2 nos. of wheel chairs, 9 legs, 2 hands 6 stretches, 1 stick, 5 hearing aids and calipers etc. were distributed among the Viklang brothers & sisters. Shri G.P. Singh N.A.S.G., Shri P. Kumar Project Head & Chief Engg. D.V.C., Shri G.P. Singh Chief Engg. D.V.C. Shri, P.K. Ambastha Z.S., Shri B.D. Sahu State President, Shri Aja Kr. Dutta, branch president were present. 

Dr. Kitchlu Ludhiana, Punjab North : On 51th BVP Foundation Day, Dr. Kitchlu Branch and BVP Charitable Trust on July 12, 2014  jointly organised a free Medical Camp and Seminar. In the Free Medical Camp of beneficiaries were 262 Blood Sugar Testing (67), BP checkup (78), Physiotherapy Checkup (12), and Acupressure/ Acupuncture (05).

A seminar was organized on Heart Problems, its prevention and treatment by Doctor of CMC Hospital, Ludhiana. Dr. D.R.C.Bakhetia, State Convenor (Health Care-BVP Punjab North) presided over the seminar session, which was attended by over 70 member & guests.

B Block,Janakpuri, Delhi South : Branch organized a Yoga Camp from 20th to 27th May2014 in the DDA park,  Janakpuri, Nearly 100 persons – children, adults, ladies and gents participated. The Yogacharya, Shri G.P.Pant created an excellent rapport with the participants and introduced them to several yogic asanaas besides various types of pranayama. The participants were highly satisfied and many of them opted for his regular daily class in the same park. On the last day Shri Pant was honoured with a gift and all the participants were awarded certificates.

Tejaswini, Prayag : Hearing aid instruments provided to Six girl students of Rajkiya Muka Badhir Vidhyalaya at George Town Allahabad. Smt.Nutan Shukla, Vibha Agarwal, Rita Dwivedi helped in organizing the programme. Food items were also distributed to 200 students. Shri Shyama Sunder Agarwal was also present.

Ramannagaram, Karnataka South : Organized a eye operation camp. A mental health and treatment camp was also organized in association, with Richmond fellowship society and BVP Balmikii Shaka Bangalore.

Model Town, Delhi North : A free medical health checkup camp was organized on 22nd June 2014 at Virendra Public School Timarpur in association with the Medanta, Medicity Hospital, Gurgaon. The aim was to provide free medical and health checkup to the general public and also educate them on the various health issues. The team consisted of 25 members of Medanta Hospital including 15 doctors and 10 technicians. Approx 500 people got benefited. A seminar on smoking and risk to health was also conducted by the senior doctors. Camp was successfully organized under the guidance of Chairman of the school Shri Rakesh Kumar, President of the branch. The camp was covered and broadcasted by Zee News and Siti Cable who also participated and got benefited from the camp facilities.

Bhubaneswar Central, Odisha : On 22nd June 2014, a free health cum checkup camp was organised at Vanavasi Chhatralaya, where 64 adivasi children coming from different remote villages of Odisha, staying & studying in schools were examined. Dr. S.N. Mishra & Dr. M.P. Rout conducted the examination & free medicines were distributed by Sri J.P. Mishra, Chairman, Zone-8.

Cuttak Chandi : Branch organised a plantation programme in village puruna trgiria. A health checkup camp was organised at SSM School, Dr. Deepak Raj checked the students.

Bijaynagar, Rajasthan Central : Branch organised Yog Shivir at Mahesh Shiksha Sadan from 1st to 7th June 2014 where trained yog teachers imparted training to the participants about various aasans and pranayam. Yoga Shivir was well attended by members of BVP as well as general public. Besides yog brief introduction of Naturopathy and acupressure was also given.  

Disha Deep, (Jalandhar), Punjab North : Branch organized a free diabetes detection & diabetes naturopathic checkup camp on 19 June 2014 at Paul Health Clinic G.T.B. Nagar Jalandhar in which 47 patients were examined and treated. 19 new patients were also detected. State President Dr. Rajesh Mannan inaugurated the camp. Branch President Dr. Joginder Arora & Secretary Ashwani Aggarwal were also present.

Malerkotla, Punjab East : On Shri Guru Ravi Das birth anniversary branch organised free dental checkup camp at the campus of J.C. Memorial Hospital. Dr. Yadwinder Kaur B.D.S. examined 150 patients. Tooth brush & tooth paste were provided to all the patients free of cost. Sardar Gurnam Singh Pandher and Sardarni Charanjit Kaur Pandher (Vikas Rattan), owner of J.C. Memorial Hospital, welcomed the dignitaries visiting the camp including Sardar Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa (member Rajya Sabha) and Padmashri Mohammad Izhar Aalam, I.P.S., D.G.P. (Pb.) Retd.

West-III (Chandigarh) : Branch organised medical camp with Balaji Parchar Mandal at Prachin Hanuman Mandir Sector-32-A. and 'Holi Ke Rang Balaji Ke Sang' on 17.03.2014 on the occasion of holi. PGI Chandigarh ENT Associate Professor Dr. Jayamanti Bakshi, Dr. Dharamvir & two junior resident DOCS. examined the patients. (Max Hospital Mohali) Dr. Sachdeva Internal Medicine, Urology Dr. Nitin & three staff worked very hard. Free sugar test for more than 500 patient's & examined by specialist doctors. Very good response & senior citizen & men & women appreciated this camp.

Karimganj, Assam : Branch organized a medical camp on 16th March 2014 at village surigram. Parishad member Dr. M.S. Dasgupta examined 37 patients. Medicines worth ` 4100/- were distributed free of cost.  

Branch organized its 27th limb delivery camp at Karimganj College, on 23rd March 2014. Six handicapped persons were fitted with artificial limbs and calipers which brought all of them back to their normal life. Our technician of Vikalang Sahayata Kendra, Guwahati, Sri Vidyadhar Choudhary extended a helping hand for the success of the camp.

Sri Jagannath Dham, Puri, Odisha : Branch has been organizing voluntary blood donation camps at regular intervals. Last such camp was held on 26th January on the eve of Republic day 2014. Shri Suryanarayan Patro, Hon'ble Minister Revenue & Disaster Management Odisha, inaugurated the camp. In the Republic Day Parade the Minister honoured the branch by awarding a trophy and certificate recognizing the service rendered by the branch. The branch President Loknath Mohanty and the event incharge Shri Padmanava Panda received the prize.  

Kishangarh, Rajasthan Central : Branch donated the body of Shri Shantilal Sethi to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College on 20.03.2014. This is a second body donation (dehdaan) of our branch. Before this on 13th November, 2013 Shri Krishanakant Verma's body was donated to JLN Medical College, Ajmer.

Branch received 106th pair of eye donation of Sh. Shreechand Kothari s/o late Sh. Rajmal Kothari on 21.03.2014. Dr. Bharat Sharma from Ajmer and Parishad members Sh. Rajkumar Jain, Jinesh Jain, Hari Chhaparwal finalised the procedure of eye donation with the help of donor family. This is the 26th pair of eye donation of the session 2013-14. The eye bank society has given vision to 212 blind persons.

One pair of eye donation of Sh. Tikam Kala s/o late Sh. Ratanlal Kala was received by the branch on 22nd March 2014. This is 27th eye donation of this session and 4th pair of eye donation of March and total 107th eye donation of the Prakalp. This is a unique project of the branch.         Bravo! keep it up - Editor.

Kishangarh, Rajasthan Central : One pair of eye donation was made on 12th March 2014 of Sh. Gokulchand Rathi s/o Late Bhanwarlalji Rathi with the cooperation of Eye Bank Society Ajmer. This is the 25th pair of eye donation of the year 2013-14 and total 105 pairs of eye donation made till today. Thus 210 blind persons have become able to see the world. This is a big achievement of Rajkumar Jain, Mukut Malpani etc.

Karimganj, Assam : Branch organised a medical camp in village Surigram on 16.02.2014. 51 patients were examined by Dr. Tapash Kumar Banik and Dr. Moni Sankar Dasgupta. Medicines worth Rs. 9000/- were distributed to these patients free of cost. Sri Biswajyoti Dey and Secretary Nepal Krishna Dhar worked hard for the success of the camp.

Jorhat : The branch with the help of local Community Resource Person organized a free health check up camp at Rajoi, Bailung goan in Siphahikhola Dev. Block under Jorhat Civil Sub Division on 23rd Feb. 2014. Doctors from different disciplines like Medicine, Gynecology and eye offered their services to the villagers of greater Bailung, an interior village where health care facilities are not easily accessible to the inhabitants. Specialist doctors from Vivekanand Kendra Refinery hospital, Numaligarh, Blind Control Society and doctors from greater Jorhat area examined the patients with necessary help from members of B.V.P. who actively participated in the programme to make it a success. Altogether, 469 patients were examined for various ailments and medicines were distributed free of cost to all the patients.

The day long programme was organized in memory of Late Dr. Pulin Ch. Baruah an E.N.T. specialist, a well known social worker and a former active member of Jorhat branch.

Ferozepur Cantt. , Punjab South :An eye Camp was conduced at Ram bagh fzr cantt. 550 OPD and 80 successful operations were also conduced.

South-I (Chandigarh), Punjab East : Branch organised Health Check up camp (Eye & ENT) in community centre of Kendriya Vihar, Sector 48-B, Chandigarh on 22.02.2014 in coordination with Indus Super Specialty Hospital, Mohali . A team of doctors and Technicians offered their services to the citizens of all age groups for their check up. Earlier on 04.01.2014, a medical check up camp was held at the same venue in which 127 persons were  examined by the team relating to Bone Density Test, Blood Sugar, ECG, Blood Pressure and needy persons were distributed free medicines also. The camp was well appreciated by the residents who applauded our efforts for creating awareness especially among senior citizens to undergo regular health check up. The camp was attended by Sh. K.L.Chouhan, Chairman, Chandigarh Coordination Committee, Sh. P.K.Sharma, Distt. South President and other office bearers of the Branch.

Sirhind Mandi: Branch organized a blood donation camp on 19-02-2014 in association with Oriental Bank of Commerce at Mai Anant Dharmshala Sirhind.A team of blood bank from Civil Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib collected 35 units of blood in this camp.

Kishangarh, Rajasthan Central : One pair of eye donation was made on 3rd march 2014 of  Sh. Kishanlalji Mulani s/o Sh. Mohandas Mulani.This is  the 24 th pair of eye donation of this financial year and total 104 pairs of eye donation made till today.This is a unique project of our branch.Prakalp prabhari Sh. Jinesh Jain and associate members Sh. Rajkumar Jain,Mukutji Malpani were also present there. A fortnight eye medical camp was held on 3rd March 2014, at Marble City Hospital in association with R.K. MARBLE CHARITABLE TRUST in which 370 patients were checked by DR. R.P.MATHUR and 253 patients selected for cataract operations. From April 2013 OPD was done for 7713 patients and 2815 selected for operation and about 2500 operations done successfully.

Bhubaneswar North, Odisha : On 9th Feb, 2014 branch organised a mega health check up camp at Bachhalo of Jagatsinghpur District. A number of doctors from different disciplines i.e. medicines, Gynecology, Dental and General practitioners were present and examined around 300 patients coming from nearby villages. As we observed the village is 25 kms away from the Districts HQ. The village is far away from getting proper medical facilities. Mostly ladies residing in these remote villages are neglected. So we requested two lady doctors to look after lady patients in separate room so that those lady patients can express their problems comfortably and get proper treatment. We closed the camp at about 4.00 PM. The camp was successful with the cooperation of our members named Shri A.K.Sahani and Shri Dhruba Charan Sahu, borth of whom belong to that village.

Karimganj, Assam : Branch organized a free cataract detection and operation camp (IOL) on 1st Dec. 2013 at NNTCMV School. The camp was attended by our member Dr. Anup Kumar Daityari & Dr. T.K. Banik. Altogether 179 patients were examined and medicines were distributed among them free of cost. In this camp 86 patients were selected for cataract operation and the operation will be held at Karimganj Civil Hospital eye unit from 2nd Dec. 2013. The camp was sponsored by Shri Keshri Chand Bhura in memory of his beloved wife late Pushpa Devi Bhura of East Market.  

Birjhora, Assam : Successfully completed its 45th & 46th free medical and health checkup camps at Baba Ramgiri L.P. School, New Bongaigaon on 27.10 & 24.11.2013 respectively under the guidance of Retd. Joint Director, Health Services. 344 patients were checked and medicines worth ` 31,000/- distributed free. The building of the training cum production centre at village Chorapara-Dhantala village (adopted), a unit of its dream projects, to generate employment opportunity to the young girls & women through training & production locally was formally inaugurated on 09.10.2013 by Shri P.K. Bhagawati. It is proposed to hold the 1st training on handloom at the centre from January 2014 for 20 educated & willing young girls & women. After training, production on various cloths will be started locally for generating self employment opportunity in the rural areas.

B-Block, Janakpuri, Delhi South : On 6th Nov. 2013,  92 eye donors registered during the Sanskriti Saptah were honoured with certificates, duly framed, with their names and addresses printed thereon. Dr. M.C. Aggarwal, Head of the Eye Department at D.D.U. Hospital was the chief guest. In his address Dr. Aggarwal dwelt upon the technical side of harvesting of cornea of the dead and its utility for the blind who can see this beautiful world after implanting this cornea. Earlier, Shri K.B. Mahajan, Vice President informed the audience that they were able to register 297 pledges for eye donation and successful in harvesting 6 pairs of cornea. Under 'nar sewa narain sewa' 5 hearing aids were distributed and 5 dental camps were held wherein 40 were the beneficiaries.

Malerkotla, Punjab East : Branch organized dental checkup camp for the students of DAV Sr. Sec. Public School. 250 students were examined by Dr. Mohammad Shabbir B.D.S. Ex-S.M.O. Civil Hospital along with his team of Doctors. Principal T.C. Soni provided co-operation to the branch.

Talwandi Bhai (Ferozepur), Punjab South : Organised free multi specialty medical checkup camp in Pasricha Hospital where 230 patients suffering from knee, joint pain and about 120 patients suffering from dental problems were examined by the doctors of Pulse Multi specialty Hospital Amritsar on 08.09.2013. Second multi specialty free checkup camp was organized with the co-operation of Lions Club. About 250 patients suffering from bone & joint pain, 70 ENT patients 120 heart & general medical checkup arm 50 patients of ladies problems were examined by the doctors teams hospital of Amritsar on 17.11.2013. Camp was organised in Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School with chief guest S. Manjit Singh Narang IAS D.C. Ferozepur and special invitee Dr. B.L. Pasricha inaugurated of the camp on 17.11.2013. A blood donation camp was organised with the co-operation of HDFC Bank Ltd. on 29.11.2013. A team of doctors from Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital Faridkot collected 37 units of blood. Sh. Vijay Syal SDM was the chief guest. Sh. Vikas Monga was the Project incharge. 

Kishangarh, Rajasthan Central : A blood donation camp was held on Dec. 7, 2013 at Marble City Hospital in association with HDFC Bank and donated 82 units to blood bank Kishangarh. The camp was inaugurated by Nagar Parishad Chairman Mrs Gunmala Patni, Marble City Hospital Supdt Sh. M.K. Bohra, branch President Pawan Kumar Agarwal, HDFC Bank incharge Sh. Kamlesh Jain. This is the second camp of this season. First camp was held on 14 July 2013 in which 89 unit donation was made.

Maharshi Arbind, Koshi Bihar : Mandan Bharti and Mandan Mahila shakha jointly organised hepatitis B booster dose camp at Harijan Tola, in chakbhato panchayat. Pramod Bhagat Prantiya General Secretary gave hepatitis B dose to 100 children. Gurudev Mahendra N. Pd. spoke about importance of cleanliness.

Bhubaneswar Central, Odisha : Branch conducted blood grouping camp on 23rd Nov. 2013 at Jemadevi High School at Lingipur under the guidance of Dr. S.N. Mishra and his team. This was done for 136 boy & girl students. Shri J.P. Mishra Chairman Zone-VIII, Shri S.N. Panda, National Addl. Org. Secy. lent their support. Head master and other staff were very co-operative. On 24th Nov. health check-up camp was organized at Phulnakhara U.P. School with the help of Dr. S.N. Mishra, Dr. Mahesh Pr. Rout and Dr. Sanjit Panda. 150 villagers were examined and given medicines.

Mandapeta, A.P.East : Branch conducted dental camp for school children (1st to 5th class) of Shri Jawaharlal MPUP School on 14.12.2013 with the valuable contribution of service of Dr. Pavan, Sowjanya Dental Clinic, He contributed medical tables, tooth paste and brushes free of cost to the children. President Kone Veerraju, Secretary P. Bheema Sankar Sastry, Treasurer Avasarala Madhava Rao and Marella Someswara Rao participated in this camp.

Gharonda, Haryana North : Branch organized a free physiotherapy camp wherein physiotherapist Dr. Gaurav Sapra and Dr. Sonia Rana diagnosed the patients. During the camp free treatment was also given to the patients. 

Solan, Himachal Pradesh East : Under the chairmanship of Dr. G.D. Bhardwaj, branch organised a multi specialty free medical camp on 27.10.2013 for the people of village kanda and other adjoining villages. As many as eight doctors were requisitioned for dental, gynae, medicine, skin, pediatrics, ENT. More than 250 patients were benefited. Not only their aliments were correctly diagnosed but medicines were also distributed totally free.

Kishangarh, Rajasthan Central : Branch has done a pair of eye donation on 12 November 2013 of Sh. Chiranjilal Rao. This is the 17th eye donation and total 97 pair donation has been done. This is a big achievement of the branch. One pair of eyes was donated to two blind persons.

Badarayana, Jayanagar, Karnataka South : A health checkup camp was organised on Sept. 2013 at Navachetana School for disabled children. About 30 children were examined and necessary treatment and advice were given to them. Dr. Venkatachalapathy examined the children.

Jagannath Dham (Puri), Odisha : Branch organized a voluntary blood donation camp at Sadbhawana griha on the eve of 67th Independence Day. Dr. Damodar Rout Hon'ble Minister Health & Family Welfare and MSME Govt of Odisha inaugurated the camp. Among others Sj. Naba Ku. Nayak, IAS Collector and Distt. Magistrate, Puri, P.D. DRDA, Additional Distt. Magistrate and Sub Collector, Puri were present. The blood bank officer Dr. Rajashri Pattanaik and her team collected 57 units of blood.

Karimganj, Assam : Branch organized a free cataract detection and operation camp (IOL) on 25th Aug, 2013 at Surigram. Dr. Anup Kumar Daityari examined 74 patients and medicines were distributed free of cost. 25 patients were selected for cataract operation (IOL) and the operations were held at Karimganj Civil Hospital (Eye unit) from 26th August 2013 onwards.

Dhuri, Punjab East : Branch organized a homeopathic camp on 07.10.2013 at village Bhojowali. Amarjit Singh Bhojowali made all arrangements for the camp in Sh. Gurdawara Sahib. All Panchayat members were present Dr. Heena Garg examined 40 patients and gave free medicines to all.  

Kotkapura, Punjab South : A blood donation camp and BMD test was arranged wherein 51 units was collected Sh. Harsh Arora and Umesh Tiwari also donated blood with their wives.

Bhuna, Haryana West : Branch organised a spirometry camp at Satyam Hospital. 126 patients were checked for their asthmatic problems. Some patients were of COPD case. Medicines were given free of cost to the needy persons. Dr. Sunil Mehta explained preventive methods to the patients.

'Samarpan' Roorkee, Uttrakhan West : A blood donation camp was held at Civil Hospital on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti (2nd Oct. 2013.) Dr. Srimohan co-ordinated with Dr. Rajat, Incharge of Govt. Blood Bank, for smooth organisation of the event. Branch members donated 60 units of blood. The entire team of office bearers led by Prof. Dr. Rama Bhargava (President) and Mrs. Rashmi Jain (Secretary) worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Er. Arvind Gupta, Mrs. Anita Gupta, Mrs. Farah Malik, & Dr. Ajay Bhargava extended their helping hand in making this event a success.

Maharashtra-II : BVP Pathology lab in Pune held free of cost blood check up camps at ten different places for the health care of teenage girls. It was revealed that more than 50% girls were anemic due to lack of appropriate hemoglobin in their blood. These girls were administered iron capsules and other multivitamin tablets. The basties  in different slum areas are selected for permanent projects of Sanskar as well as health and hygienic care training for these girls. Dry fruits, milk and iron containing food items are regularly provided to these girls. This project is undertaken jointly by Niramay Trust and BVP in Pune. D.B. Chitale, Anirudh Todkar, Harish Thakkar donated for the expenses of this project.

Magadh Bihar : Anugrha Puri colony ideal branch Gaya organised a medical camp for yatries on International Pitripaksh  mela 2013 at Vishnudham Gaya for 15 days from 17.09 to 03.10.2013 under the supervision of Shri Dinesh Prasad Singh, Secretary and Chairman Jiwan Dayani Society. More than 500 patients were examined and given free medicines by Dr. Abhay Simbha, Dr. D.K. Bhaskar, Dr. Ramadhar Tiwari, Dr. Arvind Kr. Tiwari and team of Doctors. A closing ceremony of the camp was held on 03.10.2013 at Dr. Tiwari homeo clinic. Dr. Vinod Kumar Dudani Joint Commissioner sales tax was the chief guest. Smt. Suman Singh Chief Convener Gramin Mahila Vocational Training Centers thanked every one for their help to make the camp successful.

Patan, Gujarat North : Branch organised Ears checkup camp in coordination with speech & hearing health care centre in V.K. Bhula High School. Dr. Manojbhai Amin & his expert team thoroughly checked sensitivity of hearing of 253 patients by latest technology instrument & 93 digital hearing instruments were given to needy paitents. Financial support was recieved from Shree V.K. Educational Trust Patan. Prant Secretary Shri Ashvinbhai Parekh was the chief guest.

Branch organised a couple-tour programme on 04.08.2013. 30 couples visited Vateshwar Mahadev Temple, Tarnga Jain Temple, Dharoi Dam, & Ambaji Temple and enjoyed the riding of ropeway for Gabber temple.

Odisha : A health check up camp was conducted on 12.07.2013 by BBSR Central branch at Bharati Vidya Mandir Jharpada. Dr. S.N. Mishra, Dr. B.K. Mishra and Dr. S. Panda along with their team checked up Dental, eye, ENT and general body. 144 students of the school attended the camp and free medicines were distributed. Brahmapur branch planted 175 saplings in Jail Training School premises on 21st July 2013.

Ajmer, Rajasthan Central : Oath taking ceremony of new office bearers viz: Ram Chandra Sharma, Sunil Aggarwal as President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Was held at Hotel Aaram Vaishali Nagar. In co-ordination with mobile surgical unit of satellite hospital, a mega free medical camp was organized at village Pinglod (Salemabad) on 8th May 2013. 200 patients were checked, diagnosed and distributed free medicines. Abhiruchi Shivir was organized from 21st May to 19th June 2013 in Droupadi Devi Sanwarmal Senior Sec. School Ajmer, wherein training programme/classes were conducted for drawing, painting, mehandi, beautician courses etc. 847th Jayanti of Yashasvi Samrat Prithvi Raj Chouhan was celebrated on 5th June 2013 at Prithvi Raj Smarak, Ajmer. Sh. Dilip Pareek and Harish Beri co-ordinated the programme. On the foundation day different types of 60 plants were planted in senior secondary school Makhupura, Ajmer. In co-ordination with mobile surgical unit of satellite hospital, Ajmer a mega free medical camp was organized on 31.07.2013 at village Bassi near Pushkar, wherein 369 patients were checked and diagnosed for various diseases viz eyes, bones, gynecological and physical nature etc. Dr. Anil Mathur, Dr. Pradeep Bhargav, Dr. Urmila Sharma, Dr. Hemant Bhagtani and Dr. Jitender Choudhary etc. provided their services. 23 eye patients were selected for operations and artificial lens were transplanted successfully. The Ex-sarpanch Sh. Mahender Pal Singh and Padam Raj Kocheta provided commendable co-operation during the camp.

Suraj (Panchkula), Haryana North : Organised a dental checkup camp in Doon Public School on 3rd August 2013. Dr. Deepika Sharma of BVP medical centre and Dr. Vishal examined approx 100 students of 6th and 7th classes. The school authorities provided all facilities in making the program successful. Surinder Nath of Surbhi Foundation acted as the chief guest. Local Amarujala magazine 'My City' covered the event.

Karan (Karnal) : Organised a free sugar check up camp at Railway Station on 17.08.2013. 146 persons got the test done. Branch members teach the persons to test their sugar on half yearly basis after the age of 38 years.  

Bhuna, Haryana West : Organised a free eye check up camp at Batra hospital on 25 August. Total OPD was 156. Some patients were selected for operation. Dr. Batra said that we should have to check our eyes at a regular interval & self medication should be avoided.

Kotkapura, Punjab South : Organised blood donation camp on martydom day of Shaheed Udham Singh. 46 units were collected.

Jaitu : Blood donation camp was held under the supervision of President Sanjay Mittal and Secretary Prahlad Rai. Project chairman was Gurdarshan Jain. 50 units of blood was donated. 

Batala, Punjab North : Dental Checkup camp was organised in Govt. High School of Girls Qilla Mandir. Dr. Dushyant Chopra and Dr. Barkha Chopra examined about 200 students. Free tooth brushes and tooth pastes were provided to all the students. Dr. Chopra advised to brush two times in a day and avoid chocolate and other junk foods to keep teeth healthy. 200 students participated.

Silchar, Assam : Branch organised an eye camp at Barjalenga Pioneer Sangha premises at Barjalenga, Cachar, on 20th August 2013. 209 patients were examined by eye specialist of Lions Eye Hospital. Needy patients were given free medicines. 14 patients were selected for cataract operation. 96 pairs of spectacles were also given free of cost.

Karimganj : Branch organized a medical awareness cum health check up and free medicine distribution camp at vill. Surigram on 17.07.2013. 61 patients were examined by Dr. Mani Sankar Das Gupta and Dr. T.K. Banik M.D. and medicines worth `18000/- were distributed free.  

Valmiki, Ramanagara, Karnataka South : On 21.07.2013, at the Distt. Govt. Hospital free eye check up, heart check up & operation camp and also 35th psychological advise camp was held jointly by Valmiki Branch & Richmond fellowship. Sri K.S. Ravanna State President inaugurated the camp. President of Valmiki branch presided. Chief Guests were Sri K. Raju, Ex. MLA Ramanagara, Shri B.C. Krishnappa Zone XVI President Shri S.L. Thimmaiah Hon. President, K. Chandraiah Deputy President, the Bharathi Co-operative Credit Society Ltd., and others. All the doctors and the sponsors and Shri M.C. Rangaswamy, a long time member were also honoured.  Shri H.V. Sheshadri lyer was the anchor. 50 members participated in the program.    

Badarayana : Conducted a medical checkup camp for mentally retarded children of Nava Chetana School in B.S.K. 2nd stage, Benguluru. Secretary Dr. A.S. Venkatachalapathy compared the program. President Prof. Satyamurthya presided.

Cuttack Chandi, Odisha : With the collaboration of Pramila Charitable Trust the branch arranged a health camp in Shantipur M.E. School of Badachana on 23.06.2013. Nearly 500 villagers were the beneficiaries. Around 57 villagers were identified as diabetic affected by blood test. The local MLA visited the camp and appreciated the action of both the organizations for the village. On 18.06.2013 branch organized a camp to educate school children and villagers of Purana Tigiria regarding hygiene and cleanliness at Satsang Vihar. Dr. Harekrishna Nayak told how unhygienic environment causes malaria, Dengu and chicken gunia due to mosquitos. Dr. Deepak Raj stressed upon how to know the use of the existing plants to eradicate, to cure the illness of blood pressure, diabetics and arthritis. These plants are available easily, in the villages. Nearly 200 persons including students, ladies and villagers were present.

Bhubaneswar : On 5th of August branch arranged a health camp at Patra Basti near Sainik School BBSR. This slum, although situated inside municipal area, is very poor in health awareness and the health care facilities provided by the Govt are inaccessible to the inhabitants. We along with a team of doctors reached there and started check up, distributed medicines to the poor and needy patients. Around 155 patients attended the camp. Doctors from different disciplines like Medicine, Dental and Gynecology etc. accompanied us for the camp. A team of doctors from Helpage India were also with us along with medicines that treated the people suffering from geriatric diseases. British Biological Company, Bangalore sent some technicians and instruments to conduct diabetic test.   (Branch office bearers need a praise - Ed.)

Jaitu, Punjab South : Organised a ortho and bone marrow calcium checkup camp at Parishad Bhawan on 21.07.2013. 58 tests of bone marrow and 155 of ortho were done and medicines given free.

Lalru, Punjab East : Branch organised 4th free mega medical camp with the help of Healing Touch Hospital and its faculty on 28.07.2013 in which around 700 patients came for heart ECC, Gynae dental Eye and chest diseases check up. Special arrangement was made for de-addiction.

Suratgarh, Rajasthan North : With the help of BVP members Eyes of 101 Yrs old Mangla Ram Maharshi of Suratgarh were donated to Jagdamba Eye Hospital, Sriganganagar on 23rd June 2013 after his death.

Kishangarh, Rajasthan Central : Four pairs of eyes were donated during the month of June. Eye Donation is a unique project of the branch. A total of 97 pairs of eyes have been donated till date.

Pathankot, Punjab North : ECG Machine was installed on 2nd June 2013 by branch at its diagnostic center which was inaugurated by Dr. Mohinder Pal. This additional facility provided by the branch shall go a long way to help the needy patients.

Free arthritis camp cum seminar was held on 2 June 2013 which was conducted by Dr. Sanjeev Mahajan, Associate Prof. of Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana. More than 125 patients were examined who also participated in the seminar. The event was supported by M/s Sumith & Nephew Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai.

Dr. Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana : Organised a 'Free Artificial Limb Distribution Camp' on 9th June 2013 at BVP Viklang Sahayata Kender, Rishi Nagar, where artificial limbs, calipers, tricycles, hearing aids etc. were given to 85 physically handicapped persons. Jeevan Dhawan, Member, Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board was the Chief Guest. Such camps inculcate a spirit of self-confidence among the physically challenged persons for becoming self-dependent, he said. Suraj Jyoti, President of the Trust presided over the function. He said that the Trust has provided artificial limbs etc. calipers, tricycles, wheel chairs to more than 39,000 physically challenged persons so far. He further said that regular camps are also held every month for performing polio operations and we have already performed over 2,000 free Polio operations successfully.

Samana, Punjab East : Organized Viklang Sahayata and hearing aids camp on 16th June 2013 under the president ship of Vijay Dawar. 250 patients were examined. 125 patients were selected for artificial limbs and hearing aids.

Chandigarh South-I : Branch organised a blood sugar camp on 13th April 2013 at Municipal Park, Sector-47. About 140 citizen’s took benefit of the camp. Sh. Devesh Moudgil, Municipal Councilor attended the camp and appreciated the efforts of the Parishad for the benefit of the common people. 

Chandigarh west-II : On 03.06.2013 organized eye checkup and care camp at vill. Dhanas in the premises of Govt. Senior Secondary School. 110 patients were checked out of that 9 patients were having cataract. Their operations have been got done free in the laboratory of BVP with the help of Zidiya Trust.   

Malerkotla : Branch organised eye checkup camp for the students of Govt. Middle and Primary School of village Ratolan. Dr. Ishwar Singh M.S. (Eye) from Civil Hospital examined about 200 students. Sh. Rajesh Kumar Ophthalmologist checked the eye vision through sight reading. Branch provided medicines and aspects to the needy students.

Silchar, Assam : Branch organised an eye camp at 199 Bandhan Goola L P School, Lower bund about 42 km south of Silchar Town. Medical team from Silchar Lions Eye Hospital examined 148 patients. 29 patients were selected for cataract operation, who were operated upon on 19th June and released on 20th June and dropped back to camp site. Free medicines were given to all patients. 66 pairs of spectacles were distributed to needy patients. Barjalenga Pioneer Sangha extended logistic support.

Organized two cattle Vaccination camps at Barjalenga and Barsangan at the outskirts of Silchar on 26th May & 2nd June 2013 respectively. The camps were attended by veterinarian Dr. Kalyan Pathak and his team. A total of 530 cattle including cows, buffaloes and goats were given vaccination against the dreaded foot & mouth diseases Dr. Pathak and his team members also gave valuable suggestions to the owners of the cattle regarding protection of their livestock from various diseases. The villagers present at both the locations appreciated the effort of the Parishad and requested them to conduct such camps regularly.  

Abhayapuri : Branch organised a day long artificial limb fitting camp on 12th May 2013 for disabled persons whose measurements were taken earlier on 17th March 2013 at Ganesh Mandir High School premises, Lalmati, Duramai. Technicians from Prant's Archana Vikalang Kendra, (a Centre for help and rehabilitation of Physically Challenged at Guwahati), Shri Vidyadhar Choudhury, who himself is a handicap person, conducted the camp. Artificial foot, calipers were given free of cost to 9 needy persons. Shri A. Saran Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation, Bongaigaon Refinery, Smt. Archana Saran, a teacher and social activist, Shri K.C. Jain State President, Shri Baru Sen, General Secretary and others attended the camp.

Greater (Dehradun), Uttrakhand West : A health camp was held at Mathrowala -Kedarpuram along with Intellectual and Technocrats Guild of India with the support of National Institute of the Visually handicapped. Vice Chancellor of Uttrakhand University Prof S.P. Mishra was the chief guest. Patients from the surrounding areas and bastis availed the facilities provided by the doctors and consultants (under the guidance of team head Dr Lakhera) from NIVH and Mahant Indresh hospital in the areas of ENT, orthopedics, and eye specialists. Spectacles, wheel chairs, walking sticks, crutches etc were provided free of cost to the needy. NCC cadets under the aegis of All India Women's Conference Youth Affairs rendered their assistance and learned to participate and serve society.

Dehradun Greater along with the National Institute of the visually handicapped organized a camp for the physically challenged persons at harrawala railway station Dehradun. The team from NIVH constituted National Awardees Dr. Lakhera -R.O, Speech therapist and psychologist Dr. Vijay Kumar, Eye Specialist Dr. Govil. Office bearers & members worked hard to make this camp a big success. More than four hundred consultancies were given to the hearing, mentally, physically and visually impaired. Three wheel chairs, twelve pair of crutches, eighty nine hearing aids, twenty walking sticks, 379 pairs of aspects, three tricycles were distributed free.

Salt lake, West Bengal : Organized its 9th annual eye camp for cataract screening & eye examination at Nandan Garden Bunorhat, South-24 Parganas District, 55 km. away from the city on 10th February 2013 in association with Sushrut Eye Foundation & Research Centre.446 patients, mostly below poverty line, of remote villages of Diamond Harbour area, turned up for the camp. Swami Sushantananda Maharaj of Ram Krishana Mission, Sarisha inaugurated the camp. 22 patients out of 38 detected for cataract were successfully operated upon with IOL on 06.03.2012 at eye hospital. 274 patients were given bifocal lenses, made to order, on 10.03.2012 free of cost. 1 patient had undergone DCT (Eye canal operation). 138 eye drop vials were distributed free of cost. All the patients and their attendants were provided food packets. This humanitarian project cost `74000/- approximately.   

Pathankot, Punjab North : A free medical camp was organised on 07th April 2013 in coordination with Tagore Hospital & Research Centre, Jalandhar. More than 400 patients from far flung areas were examined for heart, sugar, ECG, Echo, ENT, and accordingly free medicines, as required, were given to the patients. This was 8th consecutive medical camp held by the branch.

Pathology laboratory was also inaugurated at BVP Bhawan (Rein basera) on 7th April 2013 by Dr. Vijay Mahajan, MD, Senior Physician & Cardiologist of Tagore Hospital & Research Centre, Jalandhar.

Chandigarh West-II, Punjab East : Blood donation camp was organised on 6th April 2013 in the Stepping Stones School, Sector-38A. 70 units of blood were collected. Sh. Ajay Dutta also attended the camp. Branch donated 2 lenses costing `28000/- to Parishad's eye hospital for a Glucoma patient on 25.04.13.

Dhanbad, Jharkhand : Branch organised 'Hydrosil camp' at Jalan Hospital, on 14.02.2013. A massive campaign was undertaken, to make it successful, in the rural villages nearby Dhanbad through handbills, posters and banners. More than 75 patients reported but only 35 were selected for operation. All the operations were completed successfully and on 26.02.2013 this project was  completed. The project was done under the supervision of Jagdish Mundra with the help of Shri Prem Singhania, Sri Yogendra Tulsyan, Sri Paresh Thackker, Shri R.K. Sood, Shri Rajesh Agarwal and President Deepak Ruia.

Branch also organised Viklang camp at the Tundi village on 10.03.2013. Tundi village is basically in between Giridih and a backward area. Camp was organised for free distribution of artificial limbs, calipers and tricycle. More than 46 patients reported but only 8 were selected for artificial limbs, 5 for calipers and one selected for tricycle. On 10.03.2013 all the checkups were done and measurment taken by the team of doctors. It was a good and successful programme at village which served our mission towards the 'chalo gaon ki aur'.

Jalalabad, Punjab South : An eye checkup and operation camp was organized on 17.03.2013 at Janta National College. The chief guests were Sh. Mohinder Dhamija and Sh. Vijay Kalra who very kindly donated Rs. 51000/- as contribution for eye camp. More than 700 patients from and around the city got benefited from the camp. A team of doctors from Jaito (Punjab), selected 73 patients for eye operations from the total OPD of 700 patients. Langar for all the patients was arranged by Sh. Kalu Ram, a social worker. All the patients selected were sent to the hospital situated at Jaito in the evening, where operations were done on 18.03.2013. All the expenses including visit of doctors, lenses, medicines, etc. were borne by the branch with the donations and co-operation of public. Advocate Vinay Middha, expressed a word of gratitude to all who made the camp successful. Media coverage was also done.

Malerkotla, Punjab East : Branch organized blood donation camp for the blood bank of Civil Hospital in K.M.R.D. Jain Girls College. Under the observation of Dr. Jyoti Kapoor, M.D. Incharge blood bank of Civil Hospital, 75 voluntary donors donated their blood for the noble cause. Sh. Pawan Kumar Jain was the chief guest and Sardar Jagjit Singh Jajjie presided over the function. Camp incharge Rajesh Dhingra and Suman Bhatija thanked all the voluntary donors.

Swargate Pune, Maharashtra-II : On 10th of March 2013, the branch organized a blood donation camp at the Jan Kalyan blood bank, Swargate, Pune. This camp was organized under the chairmanship of Mr. & Mrs. Motilala Shah who are the sponsorers for this camp. About 70 persons visited the camp. In the beginning, Dr. Kale & his staff were introduced to all who were present. Dr. Kale told about the value of blood donation & encouraged all to participate. Mr. & Mrs. Motilal Shah distributed valuable gifts to the blood donors. The camp was organized under the guidance of Shri Madhukar Girme, Shri Pravin Doshi (Chief Patron), Shri Arun Tare branch President, Smt Swati Tare President, Mahila Shakha, Shri Ratan Mali President Magarpatta Branch and Shri Kiran Trivedi President Yuva Branch.

Bongaigaon, Assam : A team of members from the branch visited Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya at Kajalgaon Assam where a dental check up camp was organized among the young children of the school. The children were also advised about importance of keeping the oral cavity clean. Tooth paste & tooth brushes were distributed among the students. The program was also attended by Pascal Papillion, a French National & a student of yoga in Swami Vivekanand yoga anusandhan sansthan Bangalore. The dental camp was conducted by Dr. Puni Devi, Dental Surgeon & President of the branch.  

Birjhora (Bongaigaon) : Branch organised its 35th free medical and health checkup camp at Chaprakata M.V. School on 9th December 2012. 153 patients were examined and medicines provided free of cost to the tune of Rs. 15,000/- The camp was conducted under the guidance of Rtd. Joint Director of Health Services (Assam) Dr. K.N. Dev Sharma & helped by medical staff Shri Sanjoy Ray and Shri Prakash Rawniar. Sri Sushen Ray, H.M. of the School and his staff extended full cooperation. 

Mayurvarma (Karwar), Karnataka North : Conducted one health camp on 20.01.2013 at neighboring village Kinner. Camp was inaugurated by the gram panchayat President Smt. Priya P. Gunagi. Five Doctors from BVP parivar i.e. Smt. Suhasini Desai, Smt. Sushma Anvekar, Smt. Tejaswini Palankar, Sri. Nitin Pikle and Sri. Namikumar Hobbu, participated in the camp. 124 persons were detected of diabetes, blood grouping, checking of blood pressure and general check up and treatment was given. Medicines were distributed free of cost.

Shivpuri, Magadh Bihar : Jointly with Karmatikar Gulni Gram Vikas Samiti Gaya organised Eye and health checkup camp  on 30.09.2012 by a team of doctors led by Dr. Abhay Simba an eminent eye specialist and president of the branch. More than 250 patients were examined and free medicines distributed to poor villagers at Bishunganj Bazar. 2nd health checkup was opened at Rukmini Sarobar Vishnupad Temple for International Pitripaksha Mela. Free medicines are distributed daily.

Kakinada, A.P.East : Health awareness camp on swine flu and a free medical check up camp was organised at BVP adopted village Ramanayya Peta for poor people on 10.10.2012. 100 old poor women were benefited. Dr. Sridhar, Dr. Bonda Surya Rao, examined the health condition of the patients and free medicines were given. 150 patients were benefited. Dental checkup for school children was held at the BVP adopted School Mandal Parishad and UP School Ramanayya Peta. Dr. Qaddala Satyanarayana Dentist gave free tooth pastes and toothbrushes. 100 students were benefited.

Badarayana, Bangalore, Karnataka South  : Branch organised an interactive lecture cum demonstration on drugless therapy by Prof. N. Satyamurthy on 9th October 2012. Smt. Vijaya Chandrashekhar, President, presided. It was a revelation to most members that in this modest and un-assuming brief interactive talk he covered a wide range of subjects like acupressure, water therapy, diet and medicines from organic sources, meditation etc. He also gave a demonstration of several yoga postures which would keep us fit and disease free.

South Extension, Delhi South : On 30.09.2012 organised an eye checkup camp at Arya Samaj Mandir Kotla Mubarakpur. 73 persons availed themselves of the facility of eye checkup by expert doctors. About 40 pairs of glasses were distributed free of cost and about 10 patients were diagnosed to suffering from cataract. Operation whereof has been recommended. The camp was sponsored by Hukam Chand Chalti Devi Dharmarth Trust.

Inderprastha Vistar, Delhi East : Branch and Madhu Vihar branches successfully organized bone density checkup camp at Kamayani Kunj, IP Extension on 25th October 2012. Specialized doctors checked bone density and homeoglobin of more than 70 residents. Free consultation and lecture about diet to make our life more healthy were also given. The branch organizes bone density and hemoglobin checkup camp on every 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month in IP Extension societies.

Dera Bassi, Punjab East : Organised a blood donation camp in Punjab College of Er. Malakpur on 11th Oct. 2012. 116 students donated blood to Govt. Medical College and Hospital Chandigarh. Dr. Batra Principal of the college inaugurated the camp. Organised a blood donation camp on Oct. 19th in memory of late Sh. Mohan Bindal. 85 donors donated blood to PGI under the supervision of Dr. Usha Rao. Sh. Binderpal Mittal, Chairman Sushma Builtec Ltd. was the chief guest and Sh. Prem Singh Sagar President All India Saralia Vaish Mahasabha & S. Harjinder Singh Rangi were guests of honour. Smt. Kanta Bindal wife of late Sh. Mohan Bindal presided over the function.

Chandigarh West-III : Fortis Hospital Mohali in association with the branch organized cardiology and orthopedics camp on 28.10.2012 at Chinar Apartments adjoining Sector-20 Panchkula. More than 150 resident and senior citizens were screened. Free investigation like blood sugar, ECG and bone densitometry were done. Free consultations were given by Dr. Arun Kochar MD, DM Cardiologist and Dr. Manuj Wadhwa MS, Orhto team of Dr. Vivek.

Maitri (Amroha), Rohilkhand : Conducted a free medical checkup camp for the benefit of the deprived and economically weaker section of the society on 04.11.2012 at Shri Ram Inter College, Amroha. About 100 people were benefited
