Ludhiana (Punjab North):The
Inter School Quiz Contest of BKJ-2014 was organized on October 30th in
the premises of BVP Viklang Sahayata kender,Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana. Six teams in
Junior and four teams in senior category from different schools participated in
this contest. The first prize was won by Mr. Himanshu /Mr.Dinesh of GRD Academy
Hambran Road, Ludhiana in junior category and by Mr. Akshay and Shiv Charan of
Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, PAU Campus, Ludhiana in Senior Category.
ShriRavinder Mittal, project director deliberated in detail about the
significance, rules and deadlines for the BVP BKJ quiz contest. Mr. Mohit Khanna
was the quiz master and conducted the contest quite efficiently. Shri Balkar
Singh, Councilor, LMC was the Chief Guest of the function. The function was
presided over by Smt. Kamala Jain, Prantiya Convener, BVP Punjab North.
South-1 (Punjab East):
conducted written test of Bharat Ko Jano in six schools on 14th Oct.
in which 394 students participated. Another quiz competition was conducted on 3rd November
at Govt. Model High School, Sector-31 C,Chandigarh amongst six teams of six
schools in junior and senior category .In junior category, the team comprising
Agamya and Neha of Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Karsan was declared the
winner and the senior category, the team comprising Mukesh and Rajiv Pathak of
Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-47 D, Chandigarh was declared the
organized on 30 October at Rishi Model Sr. Sec. School, Rajpura. 12 teams of
different schools participated in senior group & 10 teams in junior group.
Students of Scholar Public School stood First and the teams of C.M. Public
School secured the second position in both groups. Winners were honored with the
prizes through our chief guest Shri Parveen Chhabra (Ex.Municipal Council). The
Prashan Manch was very well conducted by Shri Kamal Verma. All the participating
students were also given special medals.
Branch distributed about 130 sweaters to necessary and talented children in a
government high school of village Banwala near Patran. This project was leaded
by branch president Ran Singla. Mr. Singla said that it is our duty to help
helpless and necessary people so our Parishad is organizing various camps to
help them on the occasion many members of the branch were also present.
BKJ competition 2014
has been organized by Suraj Shakha Panchkulaa on 17th October
at Parishad Bhawan, Sector-12A, Panchkula. 8 Nos schools under our branch took
part in the competition, in junior category and Team of Miss Pooja and Miss
Rinki of Govt. Middle School Kundi bagged 1st position.
A team of Miss Gazal and Miss Paya bagged 1st position
in senior category. They will participate in state level competition being held
at Kurukshetra, about 80 nos attended the function, Mr. Sahil Bansal a reputed
real Estate business man agreed to become chief guest. Sh. CL Mahotra Ds Prem
Sekri Distt. Mahila Pradhan also attended the function. The prizes were
distributed by the chief guest.
Branch organized BKJ
competition on 26th October
at Pravujee English Medium School auditorium. As good as 16 teams both senior
and junior groups from different local secondary schools have joined the
competition. Member of the branch as well as members from other local branches
were present. Smt. Rebati Das, convener and Smt. Binapani Sahoo, Vice President
of the Branch conducted the competition. Students from D.M.High School secured 1st position
in both the categories. Baba shankaranada Giri Moharaj, a noted exponent of
Kriya Yoga was invited as Chief Guest who distributed prizes to the winning
Model School,Yusuf Sarai New Delhi hosted BKJ quiz competition organized by
Delhi State (South) on 31st October.
Seventeen teams participated each in Senior as well as Junior category. Prior to
this, branch level BKJ competition was organized in which 7544 students
participated representing 20 schools at junior level and 19 schools on senior
level. In junior level quiz competition D.A.V Model School Yusuf Sarai bagged
the 1st prize,
Columbia Foundation School, Vikas Puri was at 2nd position
while D.A.V. Public School, Dwarka was at 3rd place.
At senior level, Columbia Foundation School, Vikas Puri stood at 1st position,
DAV Model School Yusuf Saraiat 2nd position
and Modern Era Convent, B-Block Janakpuri occupied 3rd place.
On this occasion. State president Mr. G.S.Bhardwaj proposed the vote of thanks.
Dr. Piyush Anand Sharma state convenor of BKJ conducted the entire programme and
quiz for senior and junior students. DAV Model Schools Principal and secretary
of BVP Green Park branch Ms. Lily Saini was also present on that occasion.
H.P. East :
conducted state level BKJ quiz competition on 9th November
in Rotary Town Hall, Shimla in which teams from Solan, Shimla, Sirmour and
bilaspur participated after standing 1st in
their district level competition. This program was sponsored by Punjab National
Bank and State Bank of Patiala. The program was conducted by State convener Dr.
Rajes Rana. Sri Virendra Kashyap member of Parliament was the Chief Guest and
Sri V.K. Goel DGM Punjab National Bank was the special Guest of the event. Both
appreciated the work done by BVP and promised to extend support to the
activities of BVP.
In Juniors Group

Group First prize ' Dayanand Adarsh Vidyalaya Solan.
held the Prant Level BKJ competition on 9th November
at Chamrajnagar. The event was hosted successfully by Babruvahana Shakha,
Chamrajnagar in the sylvan surroundings of Seva Bharathi College. The inaugural
session was presided over by Shri C.N. Shyamsunder, Prant President. Shri
R.Nagabhushan, Prant Sampark Pramukh, welcomed the gathering. Shri G.S.Jayadeva,
Secretary, Deena Bandhu Trust, in his inaugural address. Expressed his deep
appreciation for the BJP’s projects, especially, BKJ, aimed at creating an
awareness among the youth about the greatness of Bharat in all fields of human
activity. Prominent citizens of the town graced the occasion. The post
competition session was presided over by Shri Pradeep Kumar Dikshit, Shakha
President. The Chief Guest, Shri Pradyumna, Samparkh Pramukh, RSS, Mysore
Division, exhorted the school children to keep alive the glorious tradition of
our country hand down by our illustrious forefathers. The quiz was ably
conducted by Shri Gopi Madhav who, with his audiovisual equipment, was assisted
by Shri Venkatesh, the scorer, with ample support by Smt. A.R.Lakshmi,, Joint
Secretary of Prant, Mr.Satish, President, Kapila Shakha. Smt. Mangala Savarkar
who was the observer deputed by Central Office was all praise for the efficient
way in which the quiz was conducted, and the hospitality of the Chamrajnagar
Shakha. The first prize in the Junior category was bagged by the team from
Himanshu Jyothi Kala Peetha, Bangalore. In the Senior Category, the team from
Marimillappa High School, Bangalore were the fist prize winners. The two teams
have thus qualified to participate in the National level competition.

: Branch organised written test of BKJ quiz competition on 31st
August, 2014 at Karimganj College and Nabin Chandra College, Badarpur
Simultaneously. A total of 435 students from 24 schools and college of the
district participated in the competition.
Panchkula, Haryana North :
BKJ held on August 30, the quiz was organised in Parishad Bhawan, Nine teams
participated in Sr. category and 11 teams in Junior category. In Senior
category, D.C. Model School won 1st position,
Vivekananda school and Moti Ram Model School got 2nd and
In junior category Manav Mangal School won first position, D.C.Model school 2nd and
Moti Ram Model School won 3rd position.
A Consolation prize, was given to the team from Balika Vikas Kendra, the after
school project of the branch.
Maitreyi, Karnatak South:
BKJ competition on 13th September
at M.E.S. Kishore Kendra was inaugurated by a veteran Nationalist Shri Shankara
Bhat. Many schools in the area (Malleswaram) participated in the event by
sending teams both for Senior and Junior level. The quiz master Shri Rajesh
Padmar, assisted by his wife, conducted the quiz effectively, and endearingly,
which was appreciated by the gathering which also consisted of teachers and
parents besides members of other shakhas.
The team from Himanshu Jyothi Kala Peetha
secured first prize in Junior Category and the team from M.E.S.Kishori Kendra
bagged the first prize in Senior Category, thus qualifying to participate in the
Prant Level Meet.
The chief guest of the evening Shri
S.Ranganath, and internationally recognized scholar also distributed the prizes,
delivered an inspiring speech.
Mahila Pankh, Patan, Gujarat North
: Branch organized on 7th September
a “BKJ” exam with main aim to provide General knowledge regarding Indian
Cultural & Sanskar. In this exam 2960 student of forty different schools
actively participated. In English medium three schools, 260 students of Primary
& Secondary School, as well as in Gujarati Medium 1354 student of Primary School
& 1346 student of Secondary School Sincerely participated.
Isanpur, Gujarat Central :
BKJ activity was conducted by the branch. Mahila Teams
participated very lively in the activity by giving support as examiner at exam
centers, verification and valuation of exam papers.
Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand:
Branch organized BKJ 2014 along with Vivekanand branch and
Gairmajarua branch on 21st Sept.
at Stn. Club BTPS. Total 22 teams of 15 school participated. Teams of KSC
School, Carmel School, PMS Gomia & KV BTPS selected to take part in State level
comp. Er. P. Kr.Chief Engr. & Er. J.P.Singh CE was the Chief Guest & Guest of
Chandrashekharpur, Odisha :
Branch conducted the BKJ competition 2014 at the Saraswati
Shishu Vidya Mandir, Nailadrivihar on 14th Sept.
both at junior and senior levels in which 13 schools participated. Dr.
Manoranjan Das was the quiz Master. The quiz contents were based on History,
Religion, Culture, Heritage, Geography of India and Odisha. In both junior and
senior levels, the teams from DAV Public Schools of Chandrasekharpur stood first
and became eligible to participate at the Prant Level.
