Be a partner in development of the Nation

Bharat Vikas Parishad is striving for the development of the Nation. You can also participate in this effort  by (a) becoming a member of Bharat Vikas Parishad, (b) enrolling yourself as a “Vikas Ratna” or “Vikas Mitra”  and (c)  donating for various sewa &  sanskar projects.

Prantiya Workshop: 2013
Karnataka North
: A workshop for the padadhikaris of the Prant was organized at Hospet on 27th July. Bhoomi poojan of the land purchased by Vijayanagar Shakha of Hospet was performed in the presence of Shri N. Doulatha Rao, former National Addl. Secretary General and others. Shri Dharmendra Singh, a noted social worker and Shri Babulal Jain, a noted businessman of Hospet were the chief guests. Shri Kantilal Jain President of Vijayanagar presided over the function. Shri Jagadeesh Maligi, Zonal Gen. Secretary (Zone XVI), Shri N. Shankarlingaswamy, Gen. Secretary and Shri K.C. Sreenatha Treasurer of Karnataka South also graced the occasion. It may be noted that this is the first piece of land purchased for sewa project in KUP.

In a meeting conducted at Nivedita school near the venue after bhoomi poojan, Dr. Pramod Basarkar, Prant Gen. Secretary welcomed the gathering and appealed for generous donations. More than eight lakh rupees were promised by donors on the spot for the construction of the building of BVP Charitable Trust for its sewa projects. Shri Manjunath Lyli, Secretary proposed vote of thanks.

Shri Shyam Choudhary Prant President donated 50 steel cots to the 100 bedded Govt. General Hospital at Hospet. This event was organized through Shri N.S. Revanasiddappa, Prant Sampark pramukh. Dr. H. Yariyappa, Surgeon of the hospital was in the chair who lauded the efforts of BVP through its network.

Shri Doulatha Rao inaugurated the workshop on 27th July. A Pratibha Puraskar program for the meritorious students of Hospet was also organized by Vijayanagar branch. The local tehsildar, Shri Ramesh Konareddy was the chief guest and gave away the prizes. He expressed his happiness by observing the efforts put in by BVP in acknowledging the merits of youngsters and for bridging the gaps created by caste, creed and religion in the society through such activities. The second issue of bi-monthly magazine, "Vikas Varte" of KUP was released on this occasion.

In the first session of the workshop Shri Hemant Deshpande, National Convenor (Org. & Workshop) impressed upon the participants, the importance of Panchsutras. Smt. Indira Maligi, Prant Addl. Gen. Secretary focussed on samskar in her short narration. Dr. B.D. Patel, National Convenor (VIP & Videsh Sampark) talked about importance and necessity of BVP's Sadasyata abhiyan  and Shakha Vistar,  Dr. Basarkar explained the sewa concept of BVP. Shri Jagadeesh Maligi, informed the gathering about duties of office bearers, shakha audit, organizational set-up and future programs for 2013-14. Shri N Shankarlingaswamy explained the mode for inviting people for various programs and the ways of approaching media for a wider coverage.

A model GVCA & NGSC was organized in local Narmada School. Quiz master, Shri Revankar from Hubli conducted a model BKJ. BVP workers from all the shakhas and many 'would be shakhas' participated in the workshop.

In the concluding session, Dr. Patel stressed on the need to spread the BVP work in nearby places. Smt. D.N. Sujata, KUP Vice-President was in the chair. KUP Treasurer, Shri K. Narasimhamurthy (Appanna) proposed vote of thanks.

Office Bearers workshop
Belgaum, Karnataka North :
Office Bearers workshop was organised on 22nd July 2012 with Belgaum branch as the host. National Convener Vistar Shri Hemant Deshpande gave his view point about expansion. Detailed information on accounting, finance and auditing was given by the Treasurer Koustubh Saushikar. Smt. Indira Maligi, Sanskar Pramukh talked about the significance of Sanskar programmes. Nanaji Deshpande, Prant Convener demonstrated as to how to conduct GVCA. Dr. V.B. Yalburgi Prant VP spoke about conducting the BKJ. Dr. Pramod Basarkar impressed upon the significance of Seva Projects and the National Secretary Dr. B.D. Patel elaborated with PPT presentation, on how to conduct the meeting effectively and efficiently.

Shri Jagadeesh Maligi, Gen. Secy. gave details about Silver Jubilee celebration of Prant, Golden Jubilee celebration of the BVP and 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand. Live demonstration of reciting Patriotic Song in Hindi, Kannada and folk song by the team from Belgaum who had participated last year in NGSC was presented.

In the concluding session, former Zonal Chairman Prin. V.N. Joshi spoke as to why such a workshop is essential. The resource persons and the members, who had put in efforts to make this workshop successful, were honoured at the hands of Dr. B.D. Patel. Former Prant General Secretary Shri Suhas Gurjar was the anchor. More than 100 delegates participated.
